Happy New Year
It seems home decor never ends. Most are updating, adding and rearranging their home and their home decor.
This year remember small changes can make BIG differences!
A simple table runner with a few candles can make a coffee table stand out in a room. Choose your colors wisely. Use complimentary colored candles and candle holders to accent your table as well.
Here is an idea: Use a multi candle holder to make the table brighter:
We wish you luck on all your home decor ideas and arrangements.

Summer Cool Decor and Storage
A great way to store winter large quilts and comforters is with the collapseable bags, that you can vacuum all the air out. Storage is made easy with these, they collapse flat and you are able to store more than just one or two in a small space.
These bags save on space, so you may be able to tuck your quilts and such under your bed. Remember its air tight so no bugs will be in there. You may want to fold a "Bounce" dryer sheet with your quilts for a nice smell when you open your bag in the fall.
When you bring out your lighter linens you may want to add cotton or light pillows to your bedding. These are great to prop yourself up with while reading and are cooler than the heavier ones.
Another idea for summer is...get some shear drapes and hang them over your heavier curtains. When you what fresh air open your heavier drapes and let the shears distort views, so others cannot make out whats in your room and let the fresh air in!

An Article about Simple Decor for the Home
We wish to share an article about simple home decor. We are sure you'll find it interesting.
Simple Home Decor Items Can Improve a Room By Michele Rogers
By adding several new items to a room, you can change its look and liven it up. We look at our living rooms on a day to day basis and we always feel they need spritzing up. Well in this you will find a few items can make a room stand out.
You do not have to change your entire room to make a new statement. By taking a wall candle holder or a wrought iron designed one for a wall, you can easily change the look of a room.
With today’s retailers they have plenty of wall items that are wrought iron. There is no design other than the shapes they are in. These will fit in with most any décor you have. As stated if you purchase one that you can put on your wall that has the candles in it, it would be the best.
If you wish others to notice your new piece of art then place your new décor item in a spot where they will notice it when they first walk in. If you place it in an entry way then you may want to add a small high table just under it. You do not have to put much on this little table, you can simply put another plain candle or you can put a simple flower. By adding something to your table that is big and bulky, you will find it takes away from your new home décor item.
By placing a new item in a room you have made a statement and have improved on your home décor. By adding small items or items that do not clash with your other home décor you will find you can add a lot.

Getting Ready for the Summer
- By taking time to wash those finger printed ridden sliding glass doors, now you will not be sweating up a storm.
- Take time to vacuum under your large sofas and your chairs around tables and end tables.
- Take the hose from your vacuum and get along the upper edge of where your ceiling and walls meet.
Summer months can be very dry in some areas and with some winds it can kick up dust and dirt, but by taking time to clean now, at the end of summer it will be a cinch.
By starting now on your cleaning you will not wear yourself down with the heat.

Mothers Day is Almost Here
At times in our busy schedules we all find it hard to get to do the things we need to. From running kids to soccer and working, lets face our lives are running in a very fast lane.
When we come home at night there is little time to decorate or do much anything else. By dropping hints to family you can get some of your decorative items. Take time to go online with kids or hubby and point out what you want. Show them you want to redecorate something and point out items you want.
From Lilyputts Home Decor...we wish you moms a Wonderful Mothers Day

Simple Gifts for a Great MOM
Here are a few gift and decorating ideas:
1. A used gift basket to hold all those magazines that everyone loves looking thru.
2. A large gift basket maybe one that is designated for laundry to hold towels in your bathroom.
3. Give a gift of a candle or a decorative candleabra, for this will set the mood to romance and you will be surprised how candles can add a little pizzazz to a room.
4. Take time to pay attention to mom and listen to her ideas on decor. Most times she will drop hints as to what she wants.
These simple ideas can be elaborated on. Again, take time to listen to MOM and show her you were listening!

The Little things Matter
This mothers day why not pamper mom and make her feel like she is the queen of the home. Moms are very special and they dont ask for much, all they need is some attention and some pampering.
IDEA:
Why not get a picture taken, anywhere you do not need to go to a professional photographer. These days we have cell phones and digital cameras. Take a pic of you and the kids and have it made into a large picture. If you do not want to spend the money on a packet of photo paper go to a nearby Walmart. There you can enlarge your pic that you have taken. If you want the old cheap method, just print the picture on regular paper. Then when you have the picture the size you want it, buy a frame to go with it. Wrap this great gift up and present it to MOM, see the tears flow and know that your gift has touched her heart.
