Spritzing up a Dorm Room Making it Yours

When it comes time for the kids to go off to college or go back to their dorms, seems they never have enough places to put a jacket or hat or maybe a backpack.

Why not get the young men some decorative monkey hooks for thier room? These are sure be the center of some attention:

For the lovely ladies and gals we have some that will make their room a lively place to do their home work and dainty enough for feminimity

Summer Cool Decor and Storage

As we approach warmer temps this summer, all the winter blankets are tucked away and the lighter linens are brought out.

A great way to store winter large quilts and comforters is with the collapseable bags, that you can vacuum all the air out. Storage is made easy with these, they collapse flat and you are able to store more than just one or two in a small space.

These bags save on space, so you may be able to tuck your quilts and such under your bed. Remember its air tight so no bugs will be in there. You may want to fold a "Bounce" dryer sheet with your quilts for a nice smell when you open your bag in the fall.

When you bring out your lighter linens you may want to add cotton or light pillows to your bedding. These are great to prop yourself up with while reading and are cooler than the heavier ones.

Another idea for summer is...get some shear drapes and hang them over your heavier curtains. When you what fresh air open your heavier drapes and let the shears distort views, so others cannot make out whats in your room and let the fresh air in!

Getting Ready for the Summer

Summer is rapidly approaching. There is no better time to spritz up the patio while the weather is not yet too hot.

  • By taking time to wash those finger printed ridden sliding glass doors, now you will not be sweating up a storm.
  • Take time to vacuum under your large sofas and your chairs around tables and end tables.
  • Take the hose from your vacuum and get along the upper edge of where your ceiling and walls meet.

Summer months can be very dry in some areas and with some winds it can kick up dust and dirt, but by taking time to clean now, at the end of summer it will be a cinch.

By starting now on your cleaning you will not wear yourself down with the heat.
